The Moral of the Story is Shorts

(Originally Published October 10, 2018) 

The scene: A hallway lined with 100 students waiting for the bus aka a catwalk.

The Main Character: Mrs. Jeffers is wearing a skirt, and is notorious for not paying attention.

The Action: Mrs. Jeffers goes to the restroom, walks back to her classroom, and grabs her backpack.

Mrs. Jeffers proceeds down the hallway aka the catwalk and begins to hear snickers and then howls of laughter.

Mrs. Jeffers keeps walking. After all, everything is funny to 4th and 5th graders.

Finally, a student tells, “Mrs. Jeffers your skirt is in your shorts again.”

Mrs. Jeffers immediately backs into the wall, chastising her fellow teachers for letting her walk down the hall. Students continue to laugh as Mrs. Jeffers untangles her skirt.

The Moral of the story: Always wear shorts under your skirt or don’t wear skirts at all.
